What is a one-seater car with no door that you need to jump, hop or climb in to get into the car? Well, beside the F1 (Formula One) racing car, the other car that meets the description is the latest “Lamborghini Egoista” from the Italian supercar maker, Lamborghini. Single-seat car, really? Sounds too selfish isn’t it? Well, what more can you say since “Egoista” itself means “selfish” in Italian. Anway, you really need to see the pictures below to admire the visually spectacular, amazing and great design of that “Lamborghini Egoista” supercar.
The cockpit really impressed me a lot especially with the radar and augmented reality screen. It really makes me feel like I’m in a cockpit of a fighter jet. No wonder since the great design of the cockpit is inspired by the Apache helicopter. For your info, the car is created by the team lead by Walter DeSilva, the Volkswagen’s Head of Design. This car is made in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Lamborghini at Sant’Agata Bolognese. This marvellous car got a 5.2-liter-V10 that can produce up to 600 horsepower.
For me, it looks like a hybrid or cross design between the Transformers, Batman car, Speed Racer and also the fighter jet. I think Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark definitely want to have this as their personal collection. Highly ego man, of course want a car that resembles their high ego as well. Hence, Egoista suits them…Unfortunately for Bruce and Tony, it is a one-off and not-for-sale car since it is for Lamborghini’s own use. Maybe for the purpose of showing off their ego. Ouch!! But, according to Walter DeSilva, “I wanted to pay homage to and think up a vehicle to underline the fact that Lamborghinis have always been made with passion, and the heart more than the head.” That is the spirit, sir!!
